SaberSim did a nice job of getting a diverse set of stacks, right out of the box. Per usual, the builder loves to get leverage by using the lowest projected stacks. That’s especially the case when you utilize the contest sims over the Saber Score metric. For tonight on DraftKings, I’m using the Minnesota Wild the most. I initially got to the Wild in 45% of my lineups, but lowered my exposure a bit to 33%. Minnesota is coming up as mu highest owned onslaught stack, with a bunch of 5-man and 6-mans. They are my second highest owned 4/3 stack.
Behind the Wild, SaberSim is really liking the Kings, and I’m here for it. I like the idea of getting some exposure to a later game where I can plan late swaps depending on how my lineups are performing. The Kings are coming in ahead of Minnesota as my highest owned 4/3 stacks, but I don’t have as many longshots. One other thing I appreciate about L.A. right now is that their scoring has become more concentrated in the playoffs. That’s always a good sign for DFS where correlation is the key to everything.
Following Minnesota and the Kings my next highest owned stack- and only other one that I am playing at a high-rate- is the Edmonton Oilers. Again, I like getting to a late night hammer where I can change my exposures depending on how the slate is playing out. I also like getting some Edmonton given their high projection compared to the Wild and the Kings. I’ll be spread out below these three teams, but it will at least give me the two biggest leverage spots in the Wild and Kings and then a higher-owned safer option in the Oilers.
The nice thing is that on FanDuel I have a very different portfolio that is acting as a solid complement to what I’m running on DK. Over on FanDuel my highest owned stack is Toronto, followed by the Avalanche. The Avs are the highest projected team on the slate, so I expect them to be owned. That said, they may not offer leverage, but Colorado offers a way to get exposure to the top spot on the slate to help offset some of the risk I’m taking elsewhere. Finally, the top bet in the PayDirt model (and it isn’t even close) is Charlie Coyle to notch an assist at a cool +400. Let’s get that and a bink… I mean, why not!?
