Tonight might be our 2nd to last 2-gam slate of the season, so we’ll try to make it count. As has been the case most of the 2nd round, the Edmonton Oilers are standing out as the top stack on the board in these two-gamers. My highest owned skater is Leon Draisaitl, followed by Connor McDavid, and Evan Bouchard. Not a bad trio. As is also often the case with SaberSim, my exposures are coming in heavily to five man and six man stacks, with a sprinkle of the 4-3s and smaller stuff. There’s always debate about what is best on these tiny slates, but here’s hoping SaberSim is on it, because that’s who I prefer to follow.
Now, you may think that since Edmonton is my highest owned stack that I’m getting to a lot of Stuart Skinner in net. And if you guessed that, well you would be right. Most of my goalie exposure is with Skinner, but I am getting to a handful of lineups with Joseph Woll. The Leafs have the lowest implied win total on the slate, but their skaters and goalie are going to be the lowest owned given their odds. Anything can happen in DFS and playoff hockey, so I’m here for a bit of Woll exposure. Behind him, I’ve got a sprinkle of Adin HIll.
The latter will go well with my Vegas stacks, which are coming in tied for second in exposure with the Florida Panthers. I’m surprised that I’m not getting too much of the Leafs in the early going, but things can change closer to lock. The Vegas Knights have the highest implied total on the slate by a hair and they’re playing with their season on the line tonight. Vegas will be pulling out all the stops, and their top skaters are going to get a ton of ice time. I’m afraid to go lower than EV1 or EV2 with the Knights, but luckily I don’t have to.
The top bet in the Paydirt model is Josh Gadjovich Over 0.5 shots on goal at -120. He won’t get a ton of ice time for Florida, but he’s expected to play and hopefully he gets on off on net against the Maple Leafs. The best assist prop is a Jack Eichel under an assist. You can grab that one at +120. Here’s hoping that the anti-Eichel sweat offsets some of that Knight’s exposure that we just mentioned. Good luck!
